Ryan Adams has released a new EP exclusively via US iTunes. The digital-only EP is called ‘Extra Cheese’, and features seven tracks, one of which has never before been released. The new track is ‘Hey There, Mrs. Lovely’, which Adams has played live since 1999, but had never recorded in the studio. The EP also features love songs from throughout the singer’s career, including ‘Desire’ and ‘My Love For You Is Real’. The EP is being sold for $3.98 beginning today (February 10). The tracklisting is: ‘Two’ ‘Answering Bell’ ‘Desire’ ‘My Love For You Is Real’ ‘Blossom’ ‘Evergreen’ ‘Hey There, Mrs Lovely’ Meanwhile, Ryan Adams & The Cardinals will kick off a US tour on February 20 in New Haven, Connecticut, as previously reported.

The allegations against singer Chris Brown took an even more serious turn Monday (February 9) when TMZ reported that the victim in the case was the 19-year-old singer’s longtime girlfriend, Rihanna. The Los Angeles Times and Us Weekly have also reported that Rihanna was the victim.

Additionally, though police are not revealing the victim’s name because the alleged incident involves domestic violence, TMZ claimed the crime report was made in Rihanna’s birth name, Robyn Fenty.

Although TMZ initially reported that a deadly weapon was involved in the case, it later retracted that claim.

According to the MySpace page of Pegasuses-XL, they get their fair share of negative press. One unlucky critic, who undoubtedly received the same press release I did, miscalculated on a detail that was hardly clear to begin with and was singled out for her negative review of the band’s Electro Agitators.

I decided, as I slid Electro Agitators into my player, that I was going to break with tradition and that “proper research” was going to be near the top of my list in constructing my own review of this record.

The Maccabees are to give away a new song from their forthcoming second album for free. ‘No Kind Words’ will be available to download from Themaccabees.com at 7:30pm (GMT) on February 9. The band have finished recording their new (currently untitled) album, the follow up to 2007’s ‘Colour It In’). Meanwhile, the band have announced details of a lengthy tour of the UK, starting in February. The shows include several London dates.
