365Mag Album Review: Traum 100

(Amsterdam, NL) - 10 years of Traum have passed and with the 100th vinyl release and this compilation CD with unreleased tracks, they pay tribute to artists who have been with them since the start such as Broker/Dealer, Fairmont, Gabriel Ananda, Jesse Somfay and their all time friends Process, Dominik Eulberg and Thomas Brinkmann. They have been lined them up next to current artists such as Moonbeam, Bukaddor & Fishbeck, Minilogue and Super Flu.

The CD opens with the beautiful Pads of Midnight by Broker/Dealer. This immediately sets the mood with its slow rhythms and intelligent synths floating through the air like a musical landscape of the summer. Domink Eulberg is next up with
Es Klebt Noch Morgentau In Deinem Haar, which reminds me of being a child. If music was a cute child playing in a summer meadow, this would be it. It feels so carefree and happy, you can’t help but feel great. Bukaddor & Fishbeck take things a clubbier route on the third track on this CD. It’s a rather serious affair which would not sound out of place in a Hawtin set. Some excellent use of reverb to create a really nice atmosphere for dancing.
