One Track Mind: Bruford Levin Upper Extremities “Cracking The Midnight Glass”

One Track Mind: Bruford Levin Upper Extremities "Cracking The Midnight Glass" image
From the first two words of this group, you already know that it's a combo that features King Crimson's all-everything rhythm section of Bill Bruford (drummer extraordinaire) and Tony Levin (bassist extraordinaire). This side project of theirs produced just a self-titled studio album in 1999 and a live document (BLUE Nights) the following year.  In spite of the brief existence, B.L.U.E. was a supergroup that for the most part lived up to the billing because the players are mostly the adventurous types who have had a lot of history among them.

Music DVD Review: Pearl Jam - Immagine in Cornice: Picture in a Frame

As the "peoples band" that they are, Pearl Jam have made something like 5000 live albums. Okay, I admit that I am somewhat exaggerating here — but only a little. Their catalog speaks for itself.

Pearl Jam's live recordings in just the past decade have included at least two "bootleg series" of entire tours, as well as a couple of "boutique" sort-of live albums recorded right here in their hometown (as well as my own) of Seattle. Metalheadz Sunday Sessions Return image
(London, UK) - After being one the Blue Note in Hoxton’s messiest parties back in the 90s, the Metalheadz Sunday Sessions have become a much-missed part of London’s clubbing history. But while it seemed like his fellow D’n'B don Grooverider has taken over with his Grace session down at Herbal, now Goldie is getting his promoters groove back as he re-launches the original Sunday drum and bass session bi-weekly at Islington venue Clockwork.Back in the golden days of the 90s, when drum and bass briefly went overground, the centre of the scene was the Metalheadz Sunday Sessions.
